Love and Lather is what happens when a creative and artistic mind has to toil for thirteen long years through the dark and scary tunnel that is the Indian Education System, only to emerge on the other side thoroughly disenchanted and disappointed with where it finds itself.

I have first-hand experience of the disastrous effects that years of sleep deprivation and stress of examinations can have on one's hair and skin.
​
Having a strong familial predisposition for allergies, eczema and dry skin didn't help matters either. As a result, I sought numerous remedies - both Ayurvedic as well as Cosmetic, to rejuvenate my skin, but to no avail.
​
My skin is unable to tolerate the harsh chemicals (Such as Sulphates, Paraben, SLS, SLSS etc.) which are almost ubiquitous in most of the skin and hair products found on the market.
​
Also, it is next to impossible to find suitable organic products in the Indian market. And the ones that are available sell for astronomical prices.
​
I ended up having to make most of my bathing products from scratch, using only the best and natural ingredients that I could find.
​
It turned out that I loved playing with colours, designing things and creating modern art with my bare hands, more than I enjoyed my day job. I wanted to keep re-experiencing this child like bliss of getting crazy with all the colours and making a complete and utter mess!
What started out as a necessity (of having to build bathing products suited to my skin) soon turned out to be a hobby.

I had finally found my ikigai - something that I wanted to do NOT because I had to, but because I wanted to!
​
Soon, my friends and family members started asking for samples of my Products. Overwhelmed with the positive feedback that I received regarding the superior quality of my products, I was encouraged to expand my horizon.
​
What started out as a trickle soon turned into a deluge and I soon filled up all the available space in my home with my supplies.
​
Love and Lather was born when I could no longer continue to keep buying supplies and selling Products, without having major Tax implications.

We aim to provide superior quality of skin and hair care products which are devoid of harmful chemicals and available at affordable prices.

Our products are handcrafted, natural, organic, vegan, cruelty-free and entirely free from harsh chemicals like Parabens, SLS, SLSS and Phtalates. All of our products are made from supplies that are sourced 100% from India.

We are ardent followers of Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger and our approach in life reflects that.
Our business philosophy is based on the following three simple principles
1) To get what you want, you have to deserve what you want. The world is not yet a crazy enough place to reward a whole bunch of undeserving people.
